A Beery Happy Birthday!

We have two young men's birthday's this month - they will both be 22 and it can be quite an awkward age to cater for. I got round it this time by raiding my scrapbooking supplies and a digi stamp from Just Inklined. Having painted the digi in ArtRage, I put the card together in CAP2, using various effects such as ripped paper edges and inking around the edges of the striped backing paper. I liked the effect of the Happy Birthday on the barrel which looks a bit like a brand burned into the wood. Apart from the digi, the kits used were: Beaches (Daisy Trail) - the stripey paper, Adventures (Sherwood Studio) - the other papers and screw heads, It's all in the wood (Miriam's Scraps) - the barrel.
I'm entering my card into these challenges:
Thank you for dropping by today.

  5. This card is sure to be a great hic (ooops - hit) with any young, or not so young man, Ann - especially if it were accompanied with the real thing. I think it is a really great card - love all your papers with their special effects and the beer barrel is terrific. Good luck in our challenge this week. Ingrid xx (OSAAT Team)
